1. I will be in California from Thursday until next Wednesday. I will partake in surfing, mojitos, The Beach Boys, and golden sands. I doubt I will be posting anything new until then. Whoever possibly reads this from time to time, I will be back in a week.

2. Sun Kil Moon is on the verge of releasing a new album in April, and it’s up on their myspace to stream. I can’t wait, seeing how their last album is still in rotation frequently.

3. This is an incredible of Truman Capote interviewing Marlon Brando in Japan in 1957. I’m not sure if this is the interview where Brando was extremely irritated after seeing the final result; claiming Capote took things out of context. Anyhow, the whole thing is a great read. It’s somewhat existential, thought provoking, and well worth the time. <The Guardian>

4. Today’s Album
Swans - The Great Annihilator - This is an album that has absolutely nothing to do with the style of this post, but I figured what the hell. One of the best albums to come from this U.S. industrial/death rock/etc band in my opinion. Angels Of Light (M. Gira’s project) released a new album not to long ago as well, so I’ll do my best to post that soon.

You were right about that Brando interview, mate. This is a right proper post you’ve left us with this week. I’ve put the whiskey to good use down here and have found you an excellent gift to return your favor. Let the California pavement whirl.
