Obama Bin Laden, Blucher, Scar Waits

1. I swear this is the last of the numerous YouTube videos, but I just could not help myself. Listening to NPR this morning, I heard a clip from the chairman of AP saying Obama Bin Laden by mistake. Doesn’t get any better than this.
2. Last year, GQ displayed L.L. Bean’s Blucher Moccasin’s and while I thought it was a great article, I didn’t put too much thought into it. However, with Sperry Topsiders and every look alike on top lately; these moccasins look like they’re gaining popularity, and why not? They’re a great way to offer some variety while still maintaining a casual look. Not to say deck shoes aren’t great, I’ve got a pair of brown Polo Sport deck shoes and I’m currently looking into a pair of navy Sperry’s as well, but these Bluchers look appetizing. <Style.Men>
3. If you’ve been living under a rock the past year, reports of Scarlett Johansson’s dive into the music world seems to be taking shape with her album of Tom Waits covers and one original. The album art could definitely be better, but I’m hoping the actual music pans out well.
4. Today’s Album
Loveliescrushing - Xuvetyn - Think Malory, Slowdive, Johann Johannasson, and any other dreampop/shoegaze band. Great stuff out of Chicago, the guitarist also has a new group called Star so make sure to check them out.
We used to have huge fights over those LL Bean shoes in grade school. There was the “beener” camp and the Eastland faction. Oh the battles! All had those small hangman’s noose knots. I love ‘em.
