Collegiate Vernacular

1. Yet again, I think I’ll lay the foundation for an ongoing series of vernacular photographs from the past century that are my particular favorites. Vintage photography has always interested me so it’s a likely step to include some of the best from sites such as Shorpy, Charlie Parker, Square America, Big Happy Funhouse, and so many more. Music, film, and photography have their own updates here at DR&DR. Who knows what is next?
The first of these is a group of great shots from the beginning of the 20th century displaying collegiate teams (make sure to notice the influential garmets that modern day designers are known for). These are from the great folks over at Shorpy, one of the best old time photo blogs on the net right now.
