Michael at A Continuous Lean lit a fire under my ass with the mention of The National being from Cincinnati. When I think of the great city, I get a certain chill up my spine. Hearing the name puts an air of excitement in my bones. I have family and half of the best friends in the world located there. It’s a city that can at times be boring, dirty, and violent on the surface of a passerby, but with time and further introspection…it’s a city made of the working class. While many of it’s inhabitants claim to loathe the city, there’s an unwavering pride in their home. Beneath the surface, there’s signs of history and good heart around each corner. Factories and houses of a century ago litter the banks and hills of the city. I personally feel a part of me is from the great city, and I “vacation” there at least once every two months. While it may seem like a unlikely course for a visit, there’s real history, sports, and a sense of well-being. Besides, contact me and maybe myself and some friends will show you a good time.

I live there now. Cincinnati is an underrated city. I can write a another blog on this. I think I may write a lengthy post soon.
Whenever someone complains about it being boring, i tell them they are not partying hard enough. I tell them to thank God for their mild winters and hills and trees.
It was very different from what I was used to in Chicago at first, living no place else but in and around Chicago.
But to keep this short for now, I’ll definitely shoot you an e-mail to hang out if you are around here much.
definitely, that’d be great. most of my friends live in either North Cincinnati, Clifton, or Hamilton. we’ll all have to head out one night, it’d be a good time.
Just discovered your site today, from A Continuous Lean. Agree on Cincinnati, I live there now, but am not from the city. Living downtown, there’s definitely an authentic, hard-working vibe in the city. Very genuine. Thanks for the props.
Fantastic! I love Cincinnati. One of very few cities left that still have a blue collar feel to it. I love visiting in the fall most of all. Thanks for stopping by!
