Brightblack Morning Light, a psychadelic, blues ridden group is the epitome of a record for a lazy sunday or rainy night on the porch. With three albums under their belt, they continue to let loose great pieces of work. In fact, their new album was recorded in the desert inside an adobe with solar panels for power. love these guys! saw them a couple weeks ago in Chicago. There was SO much fog coming from the fog machine and the frontman was barely audible and was swaying back and forth & kept knocking over his mike, all i could hear from the audience was “Is he fucked up? I think he’s fucked up” it was pretty entertaining. Rachael Hughes was amazing though.
that’s honestly exactly how i expected their show to be. audible or not, their music sends shivers down my spine. anything that can hit that mark is a must in my book. i’m hoping to see them soon.
