Honestly, I don’t know what the deal is with my latest want. I haven’t been hunting in years so there’s no real practical reason that I should want or need a orange jacket. Needless to say that didn’t stop me from the hunt.
I think colors such as orange and yellow can be pulled off if it’s a bit muted. It’s a very thin line between pulling off something different and being completely laughed at. Paired with the right browns, yellows, greens, and other seemingly autumn colors; I think it can be done. A pair of duck boots or wellingtons with a pair of heavy trousers would also do the look a great deal of justice. The Carhartt rain jacket above is one of the top jackets I saw, and what’s great about is the extremely low price.
Another great company that turns out insanely nice sports outerwear is Stone Island, and have a conglomerate of gear to die for from the past 20 years or so. Most of the best being of the vintage variety from the 90’s. We shall see how this goes.
