The Smile

If one has ever dreamt of a one stop shop for coffee, lunch, tattoos, and a new pair of Moscots; look no further than Smile on Bond Street in the heart of NOHO. I had heard a lot about the place, and had actually passed by it every day on the way to work. One day that I actually had the time, I peeked in and got a coffee while taking a look around.

A cafe style menu of sandwiches and soups rounded out by a wonderful barista bar brings an easy feeling to a head. If that wasn’t enough, the space offers a selection of benchmade knives, Moscot shades, Billy Kirk bags, and a whole slew of other gadgets and home furnishings. One day while working, Bailey Robinson, originally tattooing at Saved Tattoo stopped in my store and started talking about the trade. Come to find out, he tattoo’s out of the very same spot three days out of every week! Seeing some of his work definitely put me in the mood to sit down for a session. Whether you’re eating, drinking, or getting new work done…drop by Bond and take it all in. Thanks to NY Mag for the beautiful photographs!

What a cool store! Could it exist in any other city?

It was a good time in there, it’s great to stop in for a second or stay and relax. Not to mention incredible products for sale besides those to consume.
