Decanter Obsession

Decanter’s are a gentlemanly way to go about being a lover of brown liquor. While you can find nice deals on Ebay, Flea Markets up and down the east coast are the best way to go. Most will have the actual corks still intact, and you can usually get a decent story out of the seller. Long live brown liquor.

This photo sings to me! One day I will have a set of decanters and a secure place to house them without fear of breakage by son, pets, and whoever else may come along!

That’s the only thing about decanter’s which is a major downfall. You want to set them out to show, but it’s far too easy for it to be drank or broken by other parties.

trick to gettting all the grime etc out of old decanters… use chopped up potatoes and water. never detergent.

Glad you mentioned this. I had a friend who was telling me he wasted plenty o bourbon because he used detergent instead of homemade remedies.
