Tasting Tonight – Bernheim Original Kentucky Straight Wheat Whiskey

The first and only legal wheat whiskey available since Prohibition. Looking forward to trying this one out.

Bernheim alongside Rittenhouse Rye, Woodford Reserve, and Sazerac Rye will be served alongside Elk, Venison, Buffalo, and an assortment of cheeses tonight at Billy Reid, 54 Bond St. in NYC.

Here’s to hoping they do something similar at the Nashville store. That sounds like a lot of fun.

They will for sure. Sarah and the Nashville crew throw some great parties, and I know they will have a good Holiday one coming up.

  3. I need this but I’ll just stick with the shine I get for 5 bucks.

If I could get shine in NYC save shipping/bringing it in, we’d just have a Moonshine event.

A good choice and a nice contrast to the ryes being served. I prefer it on ice.

There is another very nice wheat whiskey on the market in limited production. The guys at Dry Fly Distilling make a 100% wheat whiskey that is very nice. I have had the pleasure of trying it while in Washington State. Bernheim a wonderful whiskey is not alone in that category any more.
